The wide variety of medical problems students will see during your Family Medicine Clerkship often makes it difficult to know where to focus your learning. We have included a list of some of the common presenting symptoms and problems emphasized in family practice training due to their frequency in the office setting. We expect you to use this list to direct learning during the clerkship. Read the articles below after encountering the relevant problem. You are responsible for printing the articles if you prefer to read them on paper.
Part of your your final exam will test your knowledge on the the areas below based on the assigned readings. While working at your site, conflicting information will inevitably arise; for the purpose of uniformity across sites we require that you base your exam responses solely on the required readings:
