Grading Criteria

Honors |
Must have a majority of 5's in each category (Clinical Knowledge and Skills, Patient Care Skills, and Interpersonal Relationships). Must have at least one 5 in Professional/Personal Characteristics with nothing lower than 4. No score lower than 4 in any category (exception: preceptor may not have sufficient contact to judge |

High Pass |
Must have a majority of 4’s and 5's in each category of Clinical Knowledge and Skills, Patient Care Skills, and Interpersonal Relationships with nothing lower than a 3. |

Pass |
The Pass grade reflects the performance of a student at the expected level for a third year clerkship student. |
|
Fail |
A failing grade is based on student’s performance taken as a whole and not solely based on any one numeric profile. A 1 in any category will result in a failure. Multiple 2's may result in a failure. |
Overall Assessment of Professionalism:Based on "Interpersonal Relationships" and "Personal Characteristics" categories of the evaluation form.
