GENERAL INFORMATION

Located on the Cherry Hill Campus of Swedish Medical Center in central Seattle, Swedish Family Medicine Cherry Hill is staffed by 30 residents, six full-time and two part-time faculty as well as guest preceptors, a full-time pharmacist, a lab technologist, four social workers and guest faculty in obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics, ENT and psychiatry. Didactics and behavioral science conferences occur every Tuesday afternoon. Grand Rounds are held on Thursday mornings at Swedish's First Hill campus. Students take call six times during the rotation, concentrated during their 2 weeks on the in-patient service. This site emphasizes care for a medically underserved, ethnically diverse, inner-city population. Students who speak Spanish will have abundant opportunities to care for Spanish speaking -only patients. Be certain to let the Cherry Hill Site Coordinator know about your Spanish language skills once you are scheduled for the site, and well before your clerkship begins.
