GENERAL INFORMATION

Twenty-four residents, 3 full-time faculty, 7 part-time faculty, a behavioral scientist, clinical pharmacists, and other support personnel staff this site. The Renton Valley Family Practice residency program is located a few miles south from downtown Renton. In addition to seeing patients in the office, the student is scheduled to be on-call four evenings during the clerkship with an expectation to perform one formal evaluation per call night. Obstetrical experience is available by following a faculty or resident's obstetrical patient from prenatal care to delivery. Students may join the behavioral scientist in doing consultations with residents' patients, including smoking cessation. Seminars and didactics are required 3-4 days per week during the lunchtime hour. Students make site visits to a long-term care facility and spend one day with a visiting nurse. Students also attend pediatric and orthopedic specialty clinics.

Faculty: Dr. Heather Rudisill, MD coordinates student activities. Ms. Diana McIntire is responsible for the student's daily schedule. The student will always be supervised by at least one faculty member or third year resident.
