The Liu Bie Ju Endowed Fellowship was created by Dr. Emily Wong, (Associate Chair for Clinical Programs, Department of Medicine, Associate Professor, Department of Medicine/General Internal Medicine, Associate Director of the UW Medical Center). The fellowship award was developed in honor of Dr. Wong's grandmother and is meant to encourage student interest in women's health.
Any student completing an Independent Investigative Inquiry-3 (III-3) can apply for this fellowship. To apply, the student must develop and implement a community medicine project focused on health care needs of rural or underserved women. The award offers mentoring support to students and encourages them to further their interests in women's health.
A special panel of judges will review eligible projects at the Annual Fall Student Poster Session. The award(s) will be presented to student(s) whose III3 poster demonstrates an outstanding women's health care project.
