ASK A RESIDENT: JR CAPATI

JR CapatiA native of Hawaii, J.R. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry/Biology from the University of California, San Diego. He worked as a radiology operations coordinator for several years before entering medical school at Far Eastern University in the Philippines, and is a certified Emergency Medical Technician. Prior to entering residency, J.R. completed 16 months of a clinical medicine preceptorship. He appreciates the challenges and opportunities associated with meeting the healthcare needs of his patients. Outside of medicine, J.R.’s interests include wrestling, surfing, customizing cars, and spending time with his family.

  • Located in a regional referral center with open heart surgery, dialysis, a level 3 neonatal intensive care unit and oncology services
