Throughout med school I toyed with the idea of becoming a general surgeon, a pediatrician, an obstetrician, and just about every other specialty doctor. It wasn’t until I spent a few months working at a Tibetan refugee hospital in India at the end of my third year that I realized family medicine is the perfect fit. My interests in medicine include adolescent medicine, women’s health, and international medicine. Eventually, I would love to work in a community clinic in the U.S., and possibly get an MPH to further my interest in global health.
