A focus on educating and training quality, compassionate family physicians to practice upon graduation in the underserved, rural and urban areas of the Pacific and Intermountain West

  • A curriculum designed around a problem oriented approach to enhance the medical, obstetrical, and surgical skills which prepare family physicians to practice competently and comfortably in an urban or rural setting
  • Residents work in a team in the family practice center consisting of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year residents, faculty physicians, a primary nurse, and a receptionist -- each team has a panel of patients to facilitate continuity of care
