• A curriculum designed around a problem oriented approach to enhance the medical, obstetrical, and surgical skills which prepare family physicians to practice competently and comfortably in an urban or rural setting
• Residents work in a team in the family practice center consisting of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year residents, a primary nurse, and a receptionist -- each team has a panel of patients to facilitate continuity of care
• The clinic averages 2,271 outpatient visits, 300 inpatient visits, and 50 outpatient procedures per month
