FY11 Federal Agenda Submission

Thank you for using our electronic forms to submit your request for an FY11 Congressionally directed appropriation (earmark) and/or to make a recommendation for an agency/program funding level. You can find descriptions of each type of request below to help you determine which form to submit. Please note:

  • All submissions must receive approval from the appropriate Dean, Vice Provost, Vice President, or Chancellor prior to being submitted. Forms submitted without the required approval will NOT be considered.
  • Not all proposed projects can be a part of the UW FY11 Federal Agenda.
  • For FY11 projects submitted for directed appropriations/earmark funding, a 1-2 page briefing paper must be prepared and e-mailed to jnurse@uw.edu, in addition to completing the appropriate form below.
  • FY11 projects submitted for directed appropriation/earmark funding must be framed in one of broad priority areas:
    1. Healthy lives, here and around the globe;
    2. Sustainability of the earth;
    3. Technology in the service of social good;
    4. creating future generations of global citizens;
    5. Addressing the opportunities and challenges of the Pacific Northwest.

UW Congressional Priority Directed Appropriation/ Earmark Request

These requests seek additional federal agency funds. Bill language will name the University of Washington and the project or program. This type of request should be made only when no competitive funds are available. Failure to win competitive funding does not satisfy this requirement.

Agency Issue/Program/Regulation Request

These requests seek UW advocacy for a project or program that is managed by the federal government. Agency requests highlight UW interests in federal competitive funding and federal rule-making, which impacts the UW enterprise. They are not earmarks.
