Pegger – an ESRI Arcview Extension to help foresters and forest engineers with initial road planning and design. Using a contour theme Pegger can "peg in" a road from any point on the landscape at any grade. Pegger allows for quick analysis of alternative road designs in a GIS environment where other analysis tools can assist the planner in making educated decisions about road location. Pegger also assists in the editing of existing road themes by making available merge and spline functions to combine and smooth existing road data. Developed by Luke Rogers. |
UW Map Technology -- Year after year, one of the most valued products to come out of the UW Forest Engineering Capstone course are the maps we use to do our watershed / landscape level planning. In order to support detailed planning and design we produce and use high quality maps. As part of our comittment to providing the DNR with improved technology we are posting the ArcInfo AMLS used to produce some of our typical planning maps. |
