A high resolution MRI database of fetal brain development

If you are expecting a baby, we would like to invite you to take part in a research study on baby brain growth that is being carried out at the University of Washington. We are using new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques to construct a very accurate map of how the brain develops between 20 and 36 weeks of gestation. This database of both healthy babies and those with different clinical conditions will be used in research studies that are seeking to improve the evaluation of complex pregnancies and provide better markers that can guide early remedial neurodevelopmental interventions after birth.
