About our research program:
University of Washington's Fibromyalgia Research Program is offering a comprehensive evaluation and treatment program for Fibromyalgia, supported by a grant from the National Institutes of Health.

Our program consists of three parts:
  • Evaluation
    • Effective treatment for Fibromyalgia requires an accurate diagnosis.
    • Our integrated program begins with a comprehensive evaluation by our team of physicians, physical therapists, and pain psychologists.
  • Treatment
    • Treatment includes physical therapy, education and information along with stress management or counseling.
    • You will receive one treatment per week for eight weeks. Four of these treatments will be group sessions and four will be individual sessions. Each treatment sessions will last between two and three hours.
  • Post-Treatment Follow-up
    • In consultation with your own physician, we can plan appropriate post-treatment care as you near the end of our program.
    • After treatment, we contact you to evaluate your progress.

Who is eligible to participate?

You may be eligible to participate if you have Fibromyalgia and you are:

    • Female
    • 18-65 years old
    • Able to attend 8 treatment sessions at our Seattle location.

Is there a cost to participate?

All evaluations and treatments are provided at no cost to all eligible participants.
