Aspirating flies on a collecting trip in the Huntington Gardens orange orchard in Pasadena, CA.
I am interested in how nervous systems generate complex behavior. For my dissertation I examined behavioral responses to polarized light in the laboratory and in a field arena. I have also begun a series of experiments probing neural activity in the Central Complex during flight and other behaviors.
