About our logo

This logo illustrates to families that by engaging in the FMF intervention they will find that doors they believed to be closed (or may have been unaware existed) will open. And with the opening of doors comes hope for the present and the future. For a while the FMF Specialist will walk along this path with the caregiver…[and] …the caregiver will gain skills, knowledge, and confidence in their role as a parent of a child diagnosed with FASD. At some point the caregiver will be walking that path without the FMF Specialist because that work has been done…[and]… they will instead be accompanied by other supports they have nurtured and strengthened. -- FMF Specialist

Another reason I find this intervention powerful? It is directly linked to the top unmet needs of families raising children with conditions under the umbrella of FASD.
Where do I begin to tell this story? I honestly feel that I’ve been inspired and touched by each of the families affected with FASD with whom I’ve worked, and that each family has their own compelling story.
