Why choose the Global Executive MBA?

When Global Executive MBA students come to the Foster School, they are already highly accomplished global professionals. They have the choice of a number of excellent universities to attend for their degrees. We recently sat down with a few GEMBA graduates and asked them why they chose to earn their MBAs through the GEMBA program at UW. In the video, three of our recent graduates explain to us the main reasons GEMBA was the right program for them.

Hendry Chendrawan (Indonesia) Amazon Tax Analyst

Hendry appreciates the experience of collaborating with team members in his class to solve current, challenging case studies. He also feels that GEMBA is a great program for executives who want to get a thorough and fulfilling MBA curriculum, but for whom time away from their careers is limited.

Beili Dai (China) Consultant, Shanghai Xin Han Da Info Tech

Beili tells us that UW’s high global ranking drew her here, and it definitely helped that Seattle is a technology hub. In this setting, students are able to hear from professors as well as speakers from companies like Microsoft, Boeing and Starbucks, and build strong professional networks.

Noah McQueen (USA) Major, US Army

Noah shared with us that some of the main reasons he joined GEMBA were that the timeline of GEMBA fit with his career timeline, the location of campus was convenient, and global aspect of the cohort and curriculum was appealing because of all the time he’s spent, and will continue to spend, working in Asia. Noah was happy and satisfied that he could stretch and expand his horizons, with the support of his company, and focus on full-time MBA study for one year.

All these GEMBA graduates agree that this program presents a unique opportunity to benefit from intensive academic training, an international perspective, professional networking and innovative teaching methods, with the bonus of having great technology and business minds right in our backyard.
