Cecilia Strettoi has been teaching Italian at the University of Washington since 2003. She graduated from the University of Pisa with the equivalent of an MA in Modern Italian Literature; her thesis was titled "Topography and Topology in Rinaldo by Tasso." In 1999 Cecilia completed a specialization course in teaching Italian as a second language titled "Technologically Assisted Training for the Cultural and Linguistic Integration of Immigrants," organized by the University of Pisa, Tuscan Region, European Union. Cecilia also obtained national certification in secondary education from the Italian Ministry of Education in November, 2000. Cecilia has previously held teaching posts at institutions including North Seattle Community College, the Washington Academy of Languages, Seattle Central Community College, La Scuola Italiana in Seattle, and the Machiavelli Italian Language and Cultural Center in Florence. |
