Dr. Donna Yowell specializes in Dante and Medieval Italian and Provencal
literatures. Her publications include articles on Dante's Comedy and linguistic
treatise, De vulgari eloquentia, and on troubadour poetry. Professor Yowell
teaches in the University Honors Program and is a recipient of the College
of Arts and Sciences Special Merit Award for Exceptional Teaching.
Her current research interests focus on Dante's poem in the historic context of the vernacular sermon. She teaches and coordinates the intermediate Italian language program. |
