SHRM Seattle Honors the GenOM Project with a Diversity Inclusion Award
The Seattle chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management honored GenOM with an award for Diversity and Inclusion in Dducation at their annual Diversity and Inclusion Conference for 2011.
Columns Magazine Piece about GenOM ALVA 2009 Student
Columns is a magazine produced by the University of Washington Alumni Association. Laura Barrera-Martinez, a 2009 GenOM ALVA student, was the focus of this March 2010 article discussing the importance of outreach programs for minority students, like GenOM and the University of Washington's Husky Promise program. Our Organization
The GenOM Project provides educational and research opportunities for underrepresented minority students interested in genomics. These programs target pre-college and undergraduate students.
