Research Interests

During the summer of 2011, Luissana conducted research in the Department of Biology's Di Stilio Lab. Her research project centered around genome duplication and plant speciation. More directly, Luissana's project goal was to determine the genome size of the plant species Thalictrum using flow cytometry. The results of this research would help determine if genome duplications, which lead to plant speciation, had occured in the genus.
