Cascadia’s mission is to lead a transformation toward a built environment that is socially just, culturally rich and ecologically restorative. The Administrative Intern’s duties will vary between supporting staff in development, administration, technology, and communications. This opportunity is designed to develop a person’s interest in the non-profit sector. Special projects and tasks will arise from time to time to accompany essential responsibilities. The candidate selected will be able to handle routine responsibilities while being flexible to immediate needs of the organization. Optional; attend networking functions in the green building industry.
• Conducting technology research
• Support Seattle office staff
• Create mailings
• Event planning assistance
• Update contact database
• Assist with sponsor management
• Must take initiative on specific tasks, able to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail.
• At ease with technology, ability to learn new software.
• Project Support as necessary
Must commit to at least 10-15 hours a week for a period of 3-6 months. Exact hours to be determined with intern.
