Join one or both of our mailing lists!Geography Advising carries information that all UW geography students need:
Jobs for Geographers carries information that all UW seniors, juniors, smart sophomores and many former students need:
Jobs for Geographers focuses on the job search, but cannot possibly present all the jobs available. We'll list any jobs that are sent to us, but we simply don't have enough time to go out and search for jobs for everyone. We want to help you learn how to find (and get) jobs, which is why we include Kate's Career Tips (free!). Please let us know if other information would be especially useful to you. How to subscribe:Be forewarned that ListProc is a computer program that automates mailing lists, which are called listservs. To get it to work, every command and space and address must be in exactly the right place. Also, ListProc retrieves your email address automatically from the message you send, so you have to send your subscription request from the place where you want to receive the subscription. When it has received your message, it automatically sends a confirmation that you're on the list. Subscribe to Geography Advising 1. Send your email message to: listproc@u.washington.edu 2. Send only the following command in the body of the email: subscribe geogu-l [Your Name] Be sure there is a single space between "subscribe" and "geogu-l" and between "geogu-l" and Your Name (in whatever form you want to be listed). Also be aware that the l in "geogu-l" really is an "ell," (a lowercase L) and not the number 1 (one). Also, do not type the brackets in your email. Subscribe to Jobs for Geographers 1. Send your email message to: listproc@u.washington.edu 2. Send only the following command in the body of the email: subscribe jobs4geogs [Your Name] Be sure there is a single space between "subscribe" and "jobs4geogs" and between "jobs4geogs" and Your Name (in whatever form you want your name to be listed). Also, do not type the brackets in your email..
For more information on subscribing and un-subscribing to university
listservs, see Using
ListProc. If nothing seems to work, you can contact one of the list owners (Kate Duttro, Rick Roth and Angela Leung) and ask to be put on the list.
