Dr. Angela Hanson

Philosophy of care: Dr. Hanson believes in taking care of the whole person, including psychosocial needs and family and caregiver concerns. She is interested in issues pertaining to hospital safety and polypharmacy and hopesto become a good steward of medical resources.

Career Interest: Dr. Hanson is a geriatrician who specializes in the care of older adults with dementia. She completed her training in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics from the University of Washington.  Currently she is a part of the Memory and Brain Wellness Center care team at Harborview Medical Center.  Dr. Hanson also works with the inpatient medicine service at Harborview, and enjoys teaching geriatric principles to medical students and residents. 

Research Interest: Dr. Hanson has extensive experience with both basic and clinical research. Her present interests include understanding how dietary factors can affect cognition and Alzheimer's disease progression.
