The University of Washington School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine provides a conference (either Geriatric Grand Rounds, Geriatric Journal Club or Geriatric Research Conference) on Friday mornings (08:00-9:00 AM) at the UW/HMC Medicine Research & Training Building, 300 9th Ave, Conference Room 117 

Effective with our July 5, 2002 our Geriatric Grand Rounds is CME Accredited.

Accreditation:  The University of Washington School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  

The University of Washington School of Medicine designates this education activity for a maximum of 28 category 1 credits towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Awards.  Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. 

Objectives:  Upon completion of this series, attendees should be able to:  (1) Describe new approaches to geriatric patients care; (2)  Incorporate new approaches into practice settings; and (3) Apply specific strategies that educe negative health outcomes and improve quality of life for geriatric patients.
