<description>I know how it is to leave kids behind...but Clair is so much younger than my children are so I can appreciate your worries. I am sorry. ((hugs)) I think she will do alright, children are so resilient. She'll be with daddy and family right? Being nervous and concerned about that is natural. Think of all that you can teach her through this experience.

Malaria medicine? Ack! So that is something you just have to take for a while? If you live there do you have to take it permenently or do you grow resistant sooner or later? I bet you are glad to be finished with the immunization part, that is a time-consuming process not to mention it is not cheap.

What hours do you work? Maybe I will come see you! I actually have to fess up that I've never been there. Bad ME! I am glad you are enjoying it. It's always a bonus to like the place you work. Getting money is good, too, especially when you are going abroad. Cash is essential, unfortunately. Since you get to meet so many new students, have you recruited anyone for GH yet?

My summer is very hectic with two classes, my children and their busy schedules, etc. Even though my classes are intensive with a lot of reading, I enjoy them. They are interesting.

Yes, I'm up for trying to go to the movie again. Since no one else could make it, Elaine and I decided we'd wait till more people could come. I understand how it is to get busy. Let me know if you are available on a wednesday evening perhaps. Then maybe we can go see it.

I'll talk with you soon, I hope. Take care of you and enjoy yourself.

<description>Wow, All of the above would be my choice...nervous, excited, overwhelmed, etc. Right now, I am mostly concerned about how my daughter will react to my absence...

I only have to have one more shot before I leave, but I don't remember which one it is...oh, and I think that I failed to mention that I must take Malaria meds a few days before I leave, during my trip, and for one month after I get back. I also have to follow up on another immunization sometime in December but I can't remember which one that is either. After this experience, I should be set for life, with a few exceptions like Japanese encephalitis and things like that!!!

I like work, there is very little to do in the summer time at the Writing Center, but i just really don't mind since it serves as a break from Clair and is helping to pay the last details for my trip. It is a means to an end. I also like the people I work with and it gives me the chance to meet more students!

Hope your summer is going well, and I hope that you are getting all the donations and support for the 3 Day that you need!! GO RESOLVISTAS!!! Let's try to plan for the movie again. Sorry I could not make it...I have been way too busy the last few weeks but I think things will slow down now! See you soon and good luck with your classes!

<description>I am so excited that A) you posted!!! (Did I mention I am trying to get everyone to blog their thoughts and activities?) and B) that you are going to INDIA!!! That rocks! I am so excited for you. Are you nervous? excited? overwhelmed? ecstatic? All of the above?

That is a lot of immunizations!! Ack! How many more do you have to get and which ones? That is good information for others to read... what vaccinations you need for the different countries. I didn't have to get any for Cuba.

How is working going? Do you like working at the "touchy-feely" center? Maybe I should come in to see you more often, so I can get some of my papers proofread. Argh. I'm taking summer classes.

30 hours of travel is a lot! Wow! What do you think you'll do to keep yourself occupied? Sleep, I'm sure some of it, but got any good books to fill the time? 6 hours can be filled with nervous energy and anticipatory chatter, then factor in 12 - 14 hours of sleep maybe... that leaves 10-12 hours left. Yea, you better bring a book or a journal. Definitely. I am so excited for you. Please take lots of pictures, I want to see as many as you can take.

I look forward to reading your next post about your preparation and how it feels as the time comes closer...
