Migrant Worker Health Voluteer Opportunities

Provide medical services to migrant workers and their families throughout Western Washington. The Office of Multicultural Affairs has partnered with Seymour Community Health Center in an effort to provide medical services to migrant workers. The program takes place three times a week (days yet to be determined,) where a medically equipped van leaves UW at approximately 3:30 pm and heads out to pre-determined sites (sites vary each week,) provides medical care, and then returns approximately 9:00pm. The program through the office of Multicultural Affairs will run for the month of July, but if there is enough interest, we may be able to offer additional months. Volunteers determine how often they would like to participate (only once is fine!) Spanish fluency is helpful, but not a must (there will be plenty of people to help translate.) Please contact Marrianne, Resident Program Coordinator at mmholec@uw.edu or by calling 598-7576 if you are interested in volunteering
