At Northwest Hospital & Medical Center
Employee Giving — our generosity at work.
Giving through the Employee Giving Program is simple and straightforward, and 100 percent of your gift supports projects and programs that benefit our patients, our work and our community. Together, our gifts have a big impact.
We, your campaign co-chairs, give because we believe deeply in the work we do. You can read more about our personal commitments, below. Thank you for your contributions, both professional and philanthropic, to UW Medicine.
Your Campaign Chairs,
Laura LaForte, LICSW
Why I Give Back
I give through employee giving at Northwest Hospital & Medical Center because I believe in my personal and professional self being in alignment. I am honored to work with the gifted and caring professionals at Northwest Hospital, and I believe that each and every one of us contributes to the experiences of our patients and their families. Everyone deserves quality healthcare. How can we be good to our patients if we are not also good to the institution that supports the work we do? For me, the motto “every patient, every time” translates into “every employee, every time,” where we support initiatives that embrace quality care for all and improve the culture we work in.
William Solan, M.D.
Why I Give Back
“I give back to Northwest Hospital’s uncompensated care fund because I believe in our mission, and because our medical system is unique in this community. I enjoy the independence, skill, expertise and camaraderie of our providers and our team approach to care, which is both personal and professional.”
What Can Your Gift Do?
You may wonder if your gifts really matter — they do. Very much so. And these examples of what your gifts make possible are proof:
- Palliative care services. We expanded our program to care for both inpatients and outpatients, and we have more healthcare providers focused on palliative care than ever before.
- Northwest Hospital Sports Medicine Clinic. We relocated to a new Ballard location, allowing us to expand our medicine-related services to provide care for an even larger community.
- Primary care. We opened a newly renovated facility and brought on additional primary-care providers, allowing us to extend our clinic hours and serve patients when they need us.
