After receiving expert care at the UW Medicine Stroke Center at Harborview Medical Center, Phil Farr, a police officer in the Island County Sheriff’s Department in Oak Harbor, Wash., is enjoying life again. In fact, he took his Jack Russell terrier, Tap, on a road trip in 2010 to visit an old friend. (Motorcycle buffs: Farr rides a BMW 1200 CLC.) Below are some photos from their journey to Missouri.
