Herman and Faye Sarkowsky Endowed Chair in Child Neurology
Est. 1994
The Herman and Faye Sarkowsky Endowed Chair in Child Neurology was established in 1994 by Herman and Faye Sarkowsky. Its purpose is to attract and retain a distinguished child neurologist to serve as head of the division of child neurology at UW Medicine.
Since the 1960s, the UW School of Medicine’s Division of Child Neurology has been based at Seattle Children’s, and the School of Medicine and Seattle Children’s have been partners in pediatric neurological research, training and patient care.
Herman and Faye Sarkowsky have been strong advocates for the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s for many years. Their commitment to both institutions has been magnanimously expressed in their financial support and their volunteer leadership — and in the creation of this chair.
