George and June Winkels Endowed Professorship for Parkinson's Disease Research
The George and June Winkels Endowed Professorship for Parkinson’s Disease was established, in part, by the estate of George and June Winkels in 2005. The professorship was designed to enhance the University’s ability to attract and retain distinguished faculty in Parkinson’s disease research within the Department of Neurology.
Mr. Winkels received a B.A. in education from the University of Washington in 1944, and he passed away in 1999. Mrs. Winkels passed away in 2002.
