Biography
Dr. Crowder is a UW professor and chairman of anesthesiology and pain medicine specializing in the care of adult patients undergoing major surgical procedures, particular neurosurgery and otolaryngology. Dr. Crowder is also adjunct professor of genome sciences, a member of the Mitochondrial and Metabolism Center, and an NIH-funded neuroscientist with a focus on the identification of mechanisms responsible for injury of neurons and other types of cells in low-oxygen environments such as occurs during stroke and myocardial infarction.
