Paul Yager, Ph.D.
Hunter and Dorothy Simpson Endowed Chair in Bioengineering
Professor and Chair, Department of Bioengineering
Dr. Yager received a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Oregon and an A.B. in biochemistry from Princeton.
For the last 16 years, Dr. Yager has developed rapid-response, inexpensive diagnostic tools for the analysis of small volumes of biofluids. Today, the primary focus of his lab is the development of disposable, paper-based, point-of-care diagnostic devices that would bring the technological power of a modern medical diagnostics laboratory to the home and to the developing world.
