Dr. Parks received a Ph.D. in anatomy from the Medical College of Wisconsin and did postdoctoral training in cancer biology and in extracellular matrix and lung biology at Michigan State University and Washington University, respectively.
Dr. Parks is an expert in extracellular matrix, tissue repair and the host’s defense against infection. He directs a research lab that studies innate immune functions conferred by leukocytes and the epithelium of different organs — with a hefty emphasis on the lung.
