Andrew L. Turner and Judith Aaron Turner. Endowed Scholarship for Idaho Medical Students
EST.2008
This scholarship was created to provide need-based support to Idaho medical students attending the UW School of Medicine. The donors hope that these funds will assist students with limited financial resources to pursue whatever career path in medicine seems appropriate for them, so that they can return to practice in Idaho or other rural and underserved areas of the Northwest. Dr. Andrew Turner has been involved in medical education and residency training since 1997, through the WWAMI medical program. He is a board-certified psychologist and behavioral medicine faculty member at the UW School of Medicine. Judith Aaron Turner is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, and has worked in primary care and urgent care for over 30 years, mostly in rural areas. In creating this endowment, Dr. and Mrs. Turner took advantage of the Faculty-Staff-Retiree Campaign for Students, which matched their donation.
