Carol F. MacLaren, Ph.D. Endowed Scholarship

Dr. Carol MacLaren served as the associate dean for student affairs at the School of Medicine for many years. One of her major roles was overseeing students’ academic progress, and, in this role, she worked with students individually and got to know their academic and personal needs. Over the past few years, the School’s development and financial aid offices have contributed to tremendous growth in scholarship support, support that maximizes student access to scholarship funds and minimizes their level of indebtedness at graduation. In deciding how best to make a contribution to the School of Medicine, Dr. MacLaren has chosen to focus her contributions by supporting medical students and has created the Carol F. MacLaren, Ph.D. Endowed Scholarship, a gift she intends to augment through her estate.
