Recognizing that medical-school costs have grown significantly over time, leaders in the Class of 1955 agreed to use their 50th reunion to focus on scholarship: to connect with fellow classmates and to ask for their participation in a fundraising campaign.
With strong leadership from its class reunion committee, the Class of 1955 decided to use the University of Washington’s Matching Gift Initiative (MGI) program to make a major gift to scholarship. The Class of 1955 “Fifty at Fifty” Endowed Scholarship will recognize the class’s thoughtfulness and achievements in perpetuity.
