UW Medicine Students First Endowed Scholarship
When the University of Washington announced the Students First program, a program that matches gifts of $100,000 or more to scholarship, the School of Medicine saw an opportunity to bring donors together to support M.D. students. In 2007, the School launched a campaign to secure contributions from alumni, faculty, staff, and friends. Contributors responded enthusiastically; the School exceeded its goal and secured the match. In 2008, the UW Medicine Students First Scholarship Fund was endowed to provide scholarships to M.D. students for years to come.
