David Chow, MNPL
Director for Philanthropy
David is a director for philanthropy, focusing on mental health and women’s health fundraising priorities for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
David brings 14 years of development experience to UW Medicine. He started his career at Bertschi School, where he helped to launch the Make Room for Bertschi Capital Campaign. In 2006, David joined the University of Washington’s Campaign UW: Creating Futures as an assistant director for development at the School of Pharmacy and later at the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity. He then returned to Bertschi School to become the director of advancement and admissions. In 2010, David joined Seattle University as the director of development at the College of Arts and Sciences. Finally, in 2015, David rejoined UW for the Be Boundless and Accelerate Campaigns.
David holds a B.A. in elementary education from Ohio Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in nonprofit leadership from Seattle University. David is a former CASE District VIII board member and currently serves as a board member and treasurer for the Stability Network.
