Kelly Oswald, MPH
Senior Director for Philanthropy
Kelly Oswald is a senior director for philanthropy, serving as the lead fundraiser for the Department of Medicine, the UW Medicine Diabetes Institute and the WWAMI Institute for Simulation in Healthcare (WISH). Kelly oversees a dynamic team of two who raise funds for the Departments of Medicine (including the Divisions of Allergy and Infectious Diseases; Cardiology; General Internal Medicine; Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition; and Nephrology), Surgery, Radiology, and Otolaryngology.
Kelly returned to UW Medicine in April 2016 after spending eight years in the roles of associate director of advancement at UW College of Engineering, director of development and communications at The Evergreen School, and senior consultant for The Ostara Group. She began her fundraising career at UW Medicine in 2004, where she spent four years in the positions of assistant director of cornerstone gifts and associate director of development.
Kelly is originally from Chicago and holds a bachelor’s degree in English from UW and a master’s degree in public health from Oregon State University.
