Lobby Day 2013

On February 15, 2013, more than 200 students, including 70 graduate and professional students, descended upon the Capitol in Olympia to speak with legislators about the importance of adequately funding higher education. The day started with the House of Representatives voting to repeal differential tuition for undergraduates, followed by student meetings with legislators where graduate and professional students fought to protect students that are in fee based programs. Many graduate students also participated in a Research Showcase where legislators and aids dropped by to learn about the valuable research students at the University of Washington are working on.

Lobby Day 2012

GPSS and ASUW brought over 200 UW students to Olympia on February 3rd, 2012 to meet with legislators and press for higher education funding.
