- UW Grade Reporting
- Presents the goals and philosophy of the UW in setting their timelines and policies for grading.
- Students' Legal Rights
- Summarizes some of the lesser known rights students have surrounding grading. You are liable if you deny a student their rights.
- Add/Drop Policy Options
- Gives grading alternatives which might help faculty deal with situations that can arise because of the add/drop policy.
- Quarterly Timelines
- Lists the due dates for grades each quarter and the rationale behind those due dates.
- Appeal of Grade
- A student who believes that the instructor erred in the assignment of a grade, or who believes a grade recording error or omission has occured must pursue resolution no later than the end of the following quarter (not including summer quarter). The process involves up to two steps; first a discussion with the instructor, and, second, failing resolution there, a written appeal within 10 days to the chair (or dean, in some instances). The complete process is delineated in the University Handbook, Vol. IV, Part 3, Chapter 11, Section 2.
