Academics

Every fraternity at the University of Washington works to help their new and current members learn and develop through higher education. Fraternities promote academic excellence through peer tutoring, class selection assistance, group study sessions, resource information, learning incentives, increased computer lab access, and scholarship opportunities. Most chapters work to provide new members with upper-classmen study partners, all-house quiet hours, and help to arrange for tutors and study sessions that work to improve time management, study skills development, and improvements in test taking. Fraternities help hundreds of new students each year by providing a successful transition from high school into college that is unavailable anywhere else at the University of Washington. Excelling academically is a first priority for all fraternity members and the all-fraternity grade-point average consistently surpasses the UW all-men's average.
