Community Service
Collectively, the fraternities and sororities at the University of Washington donate more than 70,000 hours and $300,000 to local and national charities and service organizations annually.
Along with academics and leadership, community service is one of the cornerstones of fraternity membership. Being a member of a fraternity means having the opportunity to give back to your community. Fraternities provide members with more than simply volunteering your time, but also with the chance to work together with members of your chapter to create a better community and to help those less fortunate. Fraternities donate time and money to many local charitable organizations. In addition, fraternities host entertaining philanthropic events throughout the year where members of fraternities and sororities raise money for awareness and various causes. This unbelievable opportunity is a source of pride within our Greek Community. Throughout college you can help others improve the quality of their lives.
