Interfraternity Council

Leadership

Fraternities at the University of Washington offer their members a range of leadership opportunities unparalleled anywhere else on campus. Each fraternity provides its members with the opportunities to serve as officers, committee representatives, membership or pledge/associate assistants, and a variety of other executive and non-executive positions. Since each chapter is governed and managed by its own members, each individual has the potential to determine the success of their organization. Fraternities provide members with opportunities to acquire leadership skills and gain real world work experience while still in school. Goal setting, action plan development, values-based leadership, problem solving, and decision-making skills are all enhanced by fraternity membership. Also, fraternity members hold many students leadership positions on campus.
