Integrated Pest Management
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a flexible and evolving approach to handling pest problems while ensuring environmental and human safety. Pest problems are evaluated based on tolerance thresholds, and the use of pesticides is limited. The University of Washington is dedicated to these principles and IPM is a cornerstone of Grounds Management activities.
Our program was recently featured in the video “Small Changes Big Impacts,” produced by the WSU Urban Integrated Pest Management Program for use in trainings throughout the region.
