About the GYRE TeamLinda Bushnell, faculty advisorLinda Bushnell is a professor in Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington who is currently specializing in mobile robotics. David Bliss, flyerDavid Bliss, a chemistry major at the University of Washington, works for the university's Clinical Informatics Research Group. His research interests include high-reliability computing, computerized process control, biomedical informatics and radiochemistry, and his biomedical informatics work has been published in the Proceedings of the American Medical Informatics Association. Matthew Dockrey, flyerMatthew Dockrey, a University of Washington graduate and a member of UW's highly successful 1999 Lunarbot team, also works for the University of Washington's Clinical Informatics Research Group. His research interests include robotics and multimedia processing. Lee Corviday Zeman, flyerLee Corviday Zeman has worked in Radiation Oncology at the UW Medical Center and currently is a researcher at The Evergreen State College. Lee's research interests include scientific visualization, image processing and artificial intelligence. Amelia Lacenski, flyerAmelia Lacenski graduated in 2006 from the University of Washington, where she worked as a research assistant in the Information School's Tactile Graphics group. Her work on graphics for the visually impaired was presented at the 2005 AAAS conference. Her research interests include multilingual user interfaces, human-computer interaction, medical informatics, and mechanical engineering. Grant Stevens, alternate flyer Grant Stevens, a senior in Electrical Engineering at The Ohio State University, specializes in electromagnetics and communication systems. He has done extensive work with streaming video and H.323 video conferencing. His research interests include wireless data networks and digital modulation techniques. Anna Tonkonogui, ground crewAnna Tonkonogui is a student at the University of Washington. Erin Karper, Web site developerErin Karper is an assistant professor of English at Niagara University. Her research interests include novice web designers, visual rhetoric, and computers and composition. She has assisted the GYRE flying team with website design and construction.
