    iSchool Employer Connections Fair 2010: HCDE students invited

    The fair is open to all Information School students, as well as to the rest of the UW student body.  Students are encouraged to come prepared with resumes and ready to make connections with the featured employers.  Business or business-casual attire, please.  The career fair is free to students and alumni; registration is not required for participants.

    Program Overview

    For more than four decades, scientists and engineers at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory have advanced the frontiers of science and delivered solutions to our nation’s most pressing challenges in energy, environment, and national security. PNNL, known for delivering transformational science and technology and accelerating the rate of innovation, is creating new opportunities for recent Ph.D. graduates to learn cutting-edge approaches, utilize and build state of science capabilities, as well as contribute to research efforts that advance scientific frontiers and solve pressing challenges for the nation.

    The Pacific Northwest Distinguished Post-Doctoral Fellowships at PNNL will provide full funding to its selected candidates on a major research project of their choice. The position will also include a highly competitive salary, benefits, and relocation, plus the availability of extra funding for travel and conferences. Selected candidates will be hired for a three-year maximum duration to complete their project.

    For the past five years, the UW has been placing students in professional internships from various majors.  Next year, you can apply for a Summer internship in London or Dublin, or a Fall internship in Paris, Madrid, or Dublin where you will gain professional experience while earning UW credit.

    The annual Bonderman Travel Fellowship competition is upon us, and The Graduate School and UW Honors Program will be hosting information sessions for interested applicants. They will be held on:

That’s why we’re hosting the Accenture Women’s Networking Forum, a series of one-day networking events this winter for top female students in their sophomore or junior year.

    Centered on the theme of teamwork, these events will help empower a new generation of female leaders by helping female students develop and strengthen their teamwork and leadership skills. Accenture female senior executives will also describe how they maintained the focus and dedication required to become good team players and leaders at Accenture.

    Basic Qualifications
