“Communication Research in the Next 100 Years:

Evolving Issues, Theoretical Tensions and Methodological Pluralism”

The theme for the 2010 Doctoral Honors Seminar continues to prepare for the 100th anniversary of the National Communication Association. It invites participants to look forward to issues, theories, and methods that are evolving in communication research as we move toward a second century of communication scholarship.

Change Seminar – Spring Quarter

Join the Change Seminar during the Spring quarter on Thursdays at noon in the Paul Allen Center (Room 203).

Change (http://change.washington.edu) is a group of faculty, students, and staff at the UW who are exploring the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in improving the lives of underserved populations, especially in the developing world.

Fully-funded study opportunity in London


New UK Summer Institutes Announced:

The US-UK Fulbright Commission is pleased to announce the opening of its competition for the inaugural UK Summer Institutes at Newcastle University and Roehampton University in London. The four to five week cultural and academic programmes are open to US students (aged over 18) who have completed no more than two years of University level study in any subject. Winter Quarter Grad Fair for Students

To All Winter Quarter Graduates:

Join the celebration and come to the HUB this Thursday, March 11th, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., to check out grad t-shirts, commencement t-shirts, souvenir tassels and other graduation items.

We have arranged to have a photographer there to do graduation portraits and we’ll supply the caps and gowns and any other academic apparel needed for photos.   All portraits sitting are complimentary.  Students will be

contacted with proofs of their portraits and can choose to purchase at later date.  Package prices start at $15.00.

The Office of Ceremonies will be on hand to answer any of your graduation

questions.
