IEEE International Professional Communication Conference 2011 invites undergraduate students from all disciplines to submit posters representing sustainability-related projects. Posters should function as exemplars of the communication of sustainability-related concepts, and need not directly address technical communication. Poster presenters can participate without attending, but undergraduates who attend with a registered faculty member will be admitted free of charge (Limit: 1 student per registered faculty member).

The UX/Design firm Ubermind in Fremont is hosting a open house next week. This would be a good opportunity for HCDE students to mingle with a small-to-medium sized UX shop and meet other UX/UCD professionals, and would be a good Blog post.
