Are you insanely social, well-networked, and do you love new technology?

Microsoft is seeking students for a four week usability research and community development project, for which you will receive a $175 weekly stipend for approximately 16 hours of work each week for up to four weeks.

Microsoft Research FUSE Labs is working on a number of exciting initiatives around Social Search and Crowd-Sourcing. As part of these initiatives, we’re seeking to recruit well networked and social-media-savvy students to help us learn from the perspective of the young student community.

For this project, you must have a Facebook account and actively check and update your status in Facebook and/or other media sites daily.  You must be well connected within the student community and love to play with new technology. Over the course of a month, you will advise us, grow our community and be our advocate among your friends.

If you are curious and excited, please respond to this posting. We will first schedule you for a focus group session, for which you will receive a gratuity for your participation.  We will then select a few students from the focus groups to continue participation for four weeks.

A bit about FUSE Labs (FUture Social Experiences): we’re a small group of entrepreneurs, engineers and designers who work in partnership with product and research teams to ideate, develop, and deliver new social, real-time, and media-rich experiences for consumers and enterprises.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Doug Bolles at 425-722-0453 or v-dobol@microsoft.com for more information.
