Hepatitis Web Study

This site provides continuing education for physicians (MDs), advanced registered nurse practitioners (ARNPs), physician assistants (PAs), and nurses.

The continuing education activity on this site, including continuing education credit, is provided free of charge. Funding for the site was provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Professional Credit:

Each case study requires approximately 30 minutes to complete. To apply for continuing education credit:

  1. complete the case study activities,
  2. read the case discussion,
  3. select either CME or CNE (depending upon your discipline and the certificate you wish to receive),
  4. answer the CE questions (you must answer at least 60% of the questions correctly),
  5. complete and submit the evaluation form,
  6. print your own certificate.

Records of all your CE activity on this site can be viewed either on the CNE or CME sites under the header "CME Tracker & CME Certificates" or "CNE Tracker and CNE Certificates."

You are welcome to take the self-assessment tests even if you do not need continuing education credit. To track usage of this site, however, you will first need to sign in at either the CME or CNE site.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)

Physicians, physician assistants and other disciplines: 0.5 hours will be awarded per case study. CME activity for this site is provided by the University of Alabama (UAB) School of Medicine, Division of Continuing Medical Education.

Continuing Nursing Education (CNE)

Nurse practitioners, nurses, and other disciplines: 0.5 contact will be awarded per case study. CNE activity for this site is provided by the University of Washington School of Nursing
